Can we reframe Key Stage 3 as the ‘intellectual powerhouse’ of the secondary school?

There’s plenty of research that shows that pupils relish difficult, demanding work.

There’s an opportunity to put this into practice at KS3.

There’s an opportunity to level up the challenge and the expectations for what pupils are taught at KS3.

There’s an opportunity to shift from KS3 being a mini KS4 and sometimes frankly a bit dull, to a phase which lays the foundations for some great insights into the brilliant subjects.

I’ll be exploring how we might tackle this in a new project I’m developing.

It’s called: Key Stage 3: The Ambitious Years and I’ll be setting out the background to this work on a new webinar: Thursday 27th March 4-5pm.

Available on Myatt & Co - live and recorded. Access with an individual or group annual subscription.

It’s easy to subscribe and you get access to the popular primary and secondary subject networks and ongoing professional development.

Until next time
