Do we respect the difference between primary, secondary and special school curriculums?

In the Curriculum Leaders course John Tomsett and I discuss how we need to consider the different demands and expectations for developing the curriculum in different phases of the sector.

Much of the commentary relating to the curriculum comes from a secondary perspective. And that’s absolutely right for secondaries!

However, it doesn’t translate easily into primary or special schools, where teachers and subject leaders are preparing and teaching materials for up to nine subjects, in addition to the core of English, maths and science.

In the first session of the Huh Curriculum Leaders course we explore the different challenges and opportunities for creating a rich curriculum in different phases of the sector.

It’s part of the new package on Myatt & Co, available with a group or annual subscription.

It’s easy to subscribe and you get access to the popular primary and secondary subject networks and ongoing professional development.

Until next time
