Big announcement! Curriculum Leaders course now on Myatt & Co
We’re adding new resources to support ongoing professional learning for you and your colleagues.
First up is the popular Curriculum Leaders course.
We created the Curriculum Leaders course for colleagues looking to develop their curriculum leadership either as a subject leader in secondary or subject co-ordinator in primary.
Work on the curriculum is never ‘done’!
Curriculum work is a process of iteration and improvement, and it needs to be developed and improved over time.
The course has 8 easy to access modules and we’ll be releasing each session on a weekly basis.
To access the course, you need an annual subscription to Myatt & Co. Access is £150 a year, and you’ll also get access to over 500 CPD films, including the popular primary and secondary subject networks.
Rachel Higginson has been running some terrific webinars on practical ways to embed belonging and oracy in our settings.

And if you’d like to explore the programme, there’s a 7 day free trial, to Finding my Voice and you can sign up here.

We’ll be talking about ‘The Science of Successful Learning’
Join us for a FREE webinar on Tuesday 11th March 4-5pm when we'll explore the latest findings from cognitive science and how they apply to primary practice.

The Data in Schools Conferences explore the current state of data in schools and find out what works and what doesn’t. Organised by Jamie Pembroke and Richard Selfridge, they are well worth attending. More info, dates and venues here.
I’ve had several conversations recently about the tricky business of assessment! In primary there have been lots of questions about how to make judgements about how pupils are getting on in the foundation subjects. So, I’ve run a series of assessment webinars are now available on The Teachers’ Collection.
And on assessment in secondary, I’ve done two webinars unpacking the complexity of making judgements at KS3. If you’d like to access the recordings, starting with the challenges and opportunities, they are part of the annual subscription to Myatt & Co.
Adam Boxer has two webinars in March
Monday 10th March - Improving T&L across a department or school
This webinar is designed for those in or aspiring to leadership, and delves into some of the difficulties involved in making change across a department or school. It tends to be really popular, as driving change is something that a lot of schools find difficult (and with good reason!).
Monday 31st March - Supercharge your questioning
Aimed at all classroom teachers, this webinar outlines a number of straightforward strategies for massively improving classroom questioning. The typical teacher might ask hundreds of questions a day, so it's worth making sure that we are doing it in the most effective way.
Aristotal is a brilliant AI powered coach which provides sensitive and nuanced feedback on classroom practice.
Aristotal is now offering free AI-powered leadership coaching sessions to support school leaders in thinking deeply, refining their practice, and navigating challenges.
It’s a promising way to make coaching more widely available. Well worth exploring and you can access the free leadership sessions by creating an account here.
There are some terrific books that have been published recently, and which have really informed my thinking and practice:
Andrew Morrish - Beyond Belief: Why school accountability is broken and how to fix it
Christopher Such - Primary Reading Simplified: A Practical Guide to Classroom Teaching and Whole-School Implementation
If you think there’s someone who would appreciate this update, you can forward the link here.
Until next time
